Last year, in the United States alone, over 1 million young athletes, children, and teens worked with Personal Trainers. This number will continue to increase as the result of not just this nation's youth obesity crisis but also as a result of increased competitiveness Major health club franchises continue to add youth components to their service offerings and sports training centers for young athletes are steadily increasing in number. International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA) will provide you with the credential needed to work within this market; to uphold IYCA's mission with respect to safe, effective, and clinically sound means for the optimal development of injury-free, emotionally sound, and functionally gifted young athletes and participants. IYCA is a certificate-based company offering researched education and appropriate examples of practical application with a specialization in youth athletic development and fitness. Successful candidates of the IYCA program have passed both an intensive examination process as well as a criminal background check and are awarded the Youth Conditioning Specialist (YCS) title. This 5 hour preparation course, taught by youth fitness legends, Brian Grasso and Dr. Kwame Brown, will teach both the scientific premise and practical application of how to train youths and teenagers for sporting success and long-term fitness benefit.
