Computer Distance Learning - $550
The NFPT has been certifying personal trainers since 1988 and offers a certification credential that is
accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). NCCA is a 3rd party governing body
whose function it is to set and regulate certification standards. Adherence to these standards identifies
quality programs to candidates and the public as they represent certification credentials which are legally
defensible and validated through appropriate protocol.
The Distance Learning option for obtaining your certification is a convenient independent study approach that facilitates a more thorough understanding of the course material. This method uses a guided step-by-step process through reading assignments, chapter outlines, animated PowerPoint presentations, completion of worksheets and quizzes with over 300 practice questions, client fitness assessment and consultation instruction, fitness prescription scenarios, and more!
The NFPT-CPT credential is amongst the most recognized, nationally and internationally, with processes for obtaining certification that are unique to the NFPT program:
- Convenient certification process: Though this course suggests an 8 week time duration, you may proceed through it at your own pace. When enrolling, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a password which will allow you to log in each time you return to your account. You will be sent all education material and a letter which will include final exam instruction as well as your Distance Learning ID number. This ID number will be used to activate your course prior to taking the first week quiz. While enrolled, it will be necessary to take each week's module exam before "unlocking" the following week's classes. When you feel prepared to take your exam, simply call the test site nearest you (over 300 sites available) to make an appointment.
- Download ALL NFPT course material at no charge: NFPT allows access to all education material prior to enrollment. This material also includes the exam outline which provides a break down of all exam topics.
- Renewal and Certification Maintenance is amongst the most affordable in the industry: Continuing Education Credits (CECs) are required for renewal eligibility with any accredited organization, but with NFPT these credits are maintained at no charge and the annual renewal fee of $85 is much lower than the respected comparison.
- Additional Resources and Benefits: A number of different resources and
opportunities for exposure and support are provided to the NFPT certified trainer. From Professional
Liability Insurance to Specialty Courses and Personal Trainer Software, NFPT knows what types of extended
opportunities and resources are needed to grow your personal trainer career!
