Intensity: The Most Important Part of a Fitness Routine

In my humble opinion, intensity is the most important aspect of a fitness routine. It is what separates an average workout from a great workout. When you harness intensity you can take it to the next level. You can take it to that special place where time stops, and nothing else matters. It’s just you and the workout. You all know exactly what I’m talking about. This is what we do.

Dorian Yates

I always look to people who have done greater things than I for inspiration. In the case of intensity, Dorian Yates, the ruling Mr. Olympia of the 90’s stands above all the rest. He took a standard workout and turned it into an hour and a half torture session for his body. He harnessed intensity to its fullest.

This principal can be adapted to anything. Harness your inner intensity and accomplish your own goals. Go out there and make a difference, and get what you want! We only have one life to live. One chance at greatness. Don’t waste it.

I commend you, my fellow NFPT trainers. You who strive to be the best you can be. It is my privilege to be writing this for you. Keep going, keep training and keep making peoples lives better each day.
